Parks

More than 50 acres of public parks were dedicated to the City of Roanoke for ridgetop hike and bike greenbelts and riverside tree-canopied park areas.

Aesthetic

For a more visually appealing streetscape, the neighborhood design integrates curvilinear blocks, tree-lined streets, rolled curbs and ornamental light fixtures.

The community amenity center is a striking landmark on a ridge overlooking the lakes. Robert Meckfessel, FAIA of the award-winning firm of DSGN Associates, designed the amenity center structure to honor the legacy of rural ranch buildings with its elegantly simple gable metal roof and open steel superstructure. Strong stone walls project a solidity for generations to come and speak to the native rock used throughout the community. A generous open air covered area, recalling historic Texas dogtrot houses, provides space for gatherings under shade.
