North Texas is a term commonly used to describe the northern part of the state of Texas, primarily centering on the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex (DFW). It is the largest metropolitan area in Texas and the largest inland metropolitan area in the US lacking access to the sea. We enjoy mild winters, fair skies, and long summers. Dallas is the biggest city in North Texas and the center of commerce for the area. In recent years the city has been among the first in the nation to have the largest year-over-year increase in employment and is home to one of the nation’s largest concentrations of Fortune-500 companies. Fort Worth, the second largest city in the DFW complex, is famous for its traditional architecture and its efforts towards the preservation of western heritage. Fort Worth is home to the Kimbell Art Museum, a museum that is widely regarded as having the best collections in Texas. Steeped in history with connections to the Chisolm Trail and cattle drives, Fort Worth is a unique city with a lot to offer its residents.

Roanoke has been one of the fastest growing communities in the DFW Metroplex in recent years. Offering low taxes, and one of the lowest crime rates in the Metroplex, Roanoke is the ideal choice for residents and commerce. Roanoke’s historic downtown has been transformed with a $10 million investment, and is a thriving shopping, dining and entertainment destination. It is well-known as the unique dining capital of Texas. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, Roanoke is home to several recorded Historic Texas Landmarks, and the Visitor Center and Museum in the former Silver Spur Saloon, c. 1886, shares the story of Roanoke’s history and provides information about the area’s events and activities.
